It usually means the circuit is carrying more load than it’s rated for, or there’s a fault in the wiring or a device on that circuit. A breaker that trips repeatedly is doing its job, so the fix is finding the cause rather than replacing the breaker. If a breaker feels hot, buzzes, or won’t reset, stop using the circuit and call us.

Common reasons are a panel that’s full with no room for new circuits, an older service too small for today’s loads, or a panel brand with a known safety history. We’ll look at the panel, the service size, and your actual loads, and tell you plainly whether an upgrade is warranted or whether a smaller repair will do.

Yes. We add receptacles, interior and exterior lighting, ceiling fans, and dedicated circuits for appliances, and we’ll check that the existing panel has capacity before adding the load.

Yes. We install and repair dock, boathouse, pier, and outdoor lighting and receptacle circuits, including the ground-fault protection and corrosion-resistant methods that waterfront work requires. Salt air and weather are hard on waterfront wiring, so we’ll flag anything that has started to deteriorate while we are out there.

Yes. We install standby generators with transfer switches and whole-house surge protective devices at the panel — both of which are worth having on this stretch of coast, between hurricane season and frequent lightning. If you don’t think you need the whole house powered, or you want to use a generator you already have, we can also discuss manual transfer switches or a meter-mounted generator interlock kit, if your panel is compatible.

Yes. We offer commercial work scheduled around the customer’s operating hours — nights, early mornings, and weekends — so tenants and staff aren’t affected. Tell us your hours when you request a quote and we’ll build the schedule around them. Overtime work is quoted at our overtime rate and shown on the proposal before work begins.

Yes. We handle three-phase service upgrades from the utility connection through the main switchgear and distribution panels, including coordination with the power company and the local inspection authority. If your building is adding equipment, we’ll verify the existing service can carry the new load before quoting.

It depends on the amperage, the number of circuits, whether the existing feeders can be reused, and how much downtime the building can absorb. We provide a custom written itemized quote with labor and material broken out, so you see exactly what drives the number. Send us photos of your existing panel and a rough load list and we can usually scope it quickly.

Yes. We pull the permit and coordinate the electrical inspection with the authority having jurisdiction, whether that’s the City of Pensacola, Escambia County, Santa Rosa County, or another local office. The permit and inspection appear as a line item on your quote.

All of our work is performed to the edition of the National Electrical Code currently adopted in Florida, including lighting and branch circuit requirements. If your project also falls under a facility standard or an owner specification, we’ll work to whichever requirement is stricter.

Yes. If a business loses power, trips a main, or has a panel or equipment failure, call us and we’ll get a technician out. Emergency and after-hours calls are billed at our overtime rate.

Yes, and it’s one of the most common calls we get. A recurring trip is usually a genuine overload, a failing breaker, a damaged conductor, or a load that’s grown past what the circuit was designed for. We measure the actual load and inspect the terminations rather than simply swapping the breaker, because replacing a breaker that’s doing its job just hides the problem.

Yes. We retrofit and replace fluorescent, metal halide, and high-pressure sodium fixtures with LED in offices, warehouses, retail spaces, and parking lots, including exterior and pole lighting. We’ll lay out the fixture count and spacing so you get the light levels you need rather than just a one-for-one swap.

Yes. We install and replace emergency exit combination fixtures and battery-backup units, and we can inspect existing ones that are failing their test. Non-working exit lighting is one of the most common items written up on a fire inspection.

Yes. We install commercial EV charging equipment, including the dedicated circuits, the service capacity check, and the conduit runs from the panel to the parking area. Whether your existing service can support the chargers is the first question we answer.
